Masala Chai is a traditional Indian method of preparing black tea. It generally consists of Indian black tea, Indian spices, milk, and a sweetener. There are numerous chai recipes in India and while every family seems to have their own Chai recipe, we hope that you’ll enjoy ours!

Spiced Tea: You can make this as a simple spiced tea using 1 tsp (or 1 tea bag) per 8oz boiling water, for 3-5 min. Add sugar or milk to your taste.

Masala Chai: Boil 2 tsps of tea in 16oz of water for 10 min. Add 1 tsp milk, boil 10 min. Add 1-2 tsp sugar. Boil. Strain. Enjoy!

The steeping suggestions are just a starting place, adjust to your taste; but to achieve the creamy thickness of Masala Chai, you do need to boil the milk.
